When someone wants you to know that what they are offering of an item is true, a certificate of authenticity may be presented as proof. Certificates of authenticity can be created for almost anything. Even proof that a million dollar bill is the real deal. Sadly, a lot of certificates of authenticity are counterfeit and many people find themselves being duped, tricked and even robbed of time money and trust because they put their faith in a mere piece of paper with fancy lettering on it. What makes a certificate authentic is the power and foundation behind it. Who backs up that this certificate supporting that it is valid.
Take the dollar bill. Unless the power of the US government is behind it, its a worthless fancy piece of green paper.
As individuals, our bodies and being are our certificates of authenticity and our proof is the words that we speak and the work that we do. Its as good as gold! When we fulfill the words that we speak, we add value to our lives, and our relationships. Being authentic is making our Yes, Yes and our No, No and being secure in that choice/ Being authentic is doing the things we commit to, not shirking responsibility and admitting when we fall short. (and we will fall short). Falling short doesn't mean we are not authentic, it just means we are human. Being human means to stand in our wins and losses but keeping it real at the same time so as not to lose our authenticity. No one want to be known as a fake. We are all striving to keep it real.
Authenticity doesn't just happen. It takes time, patience, getting to know yourself, clearing back the lies that can pile up on you through hurt and pain , prayer , faith and most of all love for yourself and Love from the Father. When you are authentic, people get to know who you really are, and be okay with it. Even if they aren't okay with it, still be yourself.
To be Authentic is a lifetime of work. It starts in the heart and radiates out. Trust that the God who loves you has already done the work and now is perfecting what makes you authentic. Don't be afraid, let the process happen. Everyone you come in contact with will be better for it.
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
Until next time,
Blessings and Peace.
